Internship Program with Núcleo Ejecutor Atuncolla II
At Bunyar Knits, we believe that sharing knowledge is an essential part of building a more fair and conscious industry. For this reason, we welcomed the members of the Núcleo Ejecutor Atuncolla II to our workshop—artisans beginning their journey in textile work.
During this internship program, participants learned about the full process behind a finished garment, from the early stages to the final product. We shared, in a clear and practical way, how fiber is transformed into a completed knit, while valuing every step and every person involved.
The visit included a guided tour through each area of our workshop: materials storage, production, sewing, finishing, steaming, washing, and drying, allowing participants to understand how all processes come together to create a high-quality product.
We also shared the story of Bunyar Knits, deeply connected to rural life, as our manager comes from a family of alpaca herders. This connection to the origin of the fiber created a meaningful space for dialogue and showed that it is possible to transform work from the field into high-value products without losing identity or roots.
This experience became a space for mutual learning, reinforcing our commitment to local development, knowledge sharing, and the communities that are part of our production chain.
At Bunyar Knits, we believe that to knit is also to share, and that every step toward more conscious production begins by opening our doors.
